Top 5 Maps and Navigation Apps on Android in France Q2 2023

In the second quarter of 2023, the top five Maps and Navigation apps on the Android platform in France exhibited diverse trends in terms of weekly downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at each app's performance, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic saw substantial growth in weekly downloads, rising from around 34.6K at the end of March to approximately 62.6K by the last week of June. Its weekly active users also increased, starting at 1.49M and reaching around 1.71M by the end of the quarter.

Uber - Request a ride experienced a steady increase in weekly downloads, beginning at about 15.6K in late March and peaking at 30.1K in the final week of June. The app’s weekly active users grew from 432K to about 587K over the same period.

Trainline: Train travel Europe displayed a consistent pattern in weekly downloads, fluctuating between 15.9K and 21.6K throughout the quarter. Its weekly active users remained relatively stable, starting at 150K and ending at approximately 156K.

Bolt: Request a Ride had a gradual increase in weekly downloads, rising from 14.8K in late March to around 19.1K by the end of June. The app’s weekly active users grew from 62.3K to approximately 72.1K during the same timeframe.

Bonjour RATP experienced fluctuations in weekly downloads, starting at 14.5K and ending at about 14.5K, with minor variations in between. Its weekly active users saw growth from 182K to approximately 188K by the end of June.
